Being the Church in the World is vital to being a whole-hearted follower of Christ.  When we show others Christ's love through our actions, we are part of Christ's Kingdom on Earth.  Cahaba Bend is always looking for ways to be the church in our own community of Helena, AL, in the metro area of Birmingham, and throughout the world.

As part of the United Methodist Church, a portion of every dollar given to Cahaba Bend goes to those in need in our nation and around the world.  For instance, this includes major needs like aid following the tsunami's devastation of Thailand and for hurricane relief near the Gulf of Mexico.

Some of the ways you can get involved in Being the Church in the World are:

• Go Day - groups from Cahaba Bend serve in ministries throughout the Birmingham area simultaneously
• Urban Ministries - a local mission in downtown Birmingham, AL
• United Methodist Volunteers in Mission - support missionaries ... or become one!

Commiting to a Life with Christ is the third part of Cahaba Bend's Ministry Process. The first two are to Connect with the Body of Christ and to Commit to a Life with Christ.
